Darren Cottingham is the musical director of AKSamba in Auckland, New Zealand, where he's lived for the last 26 years. With his background as a TV and games composer, he writes much of AKSamba's repertoire as well as putting together occasional side projects involving other musicians.
His interest lies in the fusion and evolution of Brazilian rhythms with other musical influences.
