Bio:
Brazilian percussionist from Bahia, Adriana Portela, started in the musical area in 1992, through Maestro Neguinho do Samba creator of samba-reggae, founder of Didá Educational and Cultural Association and Didá Band.
First woman to conduct a female samba-reggae band in Brazil, Didá Banda Feminina. Percussionist and drummer of the Didá Band, has played with several celebrities of the national and international musical genere such as: Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Simone, Elza Soares, Carlinhos Brown, Shakira, Daniela Mercury, Margareth Menezes, Milton Nascimento, Vanessa da Mata, Gospel Gospel Mount Moriah (New York) among others, and events: Salvador Carnival (Didá Block) and Aphrodome, Micaretas (SSA / Ba), Perc Pan, Brazil World Cup 2014 (Rio de Janeiro closing) January), Bahia - Madrid Festival 2015, Percumon Percussion Festival (Spain) 2019, Adriana has traveled to various countries: France, USA, Argentina, Uruguay, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Spain, and Canada exercising her percussive musical work.
Graduated in Social Work, postgraduate in Social Project Management, Master's Student in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia, Adriana has always seen music as the driving force of large living constructions and also as a tool capable of crossing boundaries enabling the knowledge of diverse cultures. . Always fosters the continuous segment of musical guidelines, bringing in the blood the live beat of samba-reggae.
